For owners and operators
Your boat is idle about 300 days a year.
The berth, the antifoul, the spring service and the insurance are paid for twelve months and used for about two. SailSeeker puts the empty dates in front of people already searching Malta for exactly your hull, keeps the calendar in one place, and pays you the morning you sail.
Takes about 15 minutes · no listing fee
What a season looks like
Move the two numbers you actually control.
A day rate and a count of days. Everything else on this page exists to raise the second one. Ten per cent of a confirmed booking is all we take, and a month with no charters costs nothing at all.
Typical for a sailing yacht in Malta · €900 a day
A well listed boat in Malta runs 40 to 55 days between May and October
Placeholder rates, realistic for the Malta market. Your own number depends on the hull, the berth and how early the calendar opens. We will give you a read on it when we come and see the boat.

What you get
Four things you stop doing yourself.
Owners rarely give up on chartering because the commission is too high. They give up because the admin turned into a second job somewhere around the third August weekend.
The booking engine and the calendar
Availability, durations, blackout dates and how much notice you want, all set by you and all in one place. Guests only ever see slots that are genuinely open, so the requests that reach you are ones you can take. Switch any boat between instant book and request to book whenever the season changes shape.
Payments
The card is authorised the moment you accept, held, then released to your account on the morning of departure. There is no security deposit for you to take, hold, or argue about afterwards. Nobody counts cash on a pontoon and nobody waits on a transfer that has not cleared.
The paperwork and the insurance check
Your Transport Malta licence, your VAT number and your third-party cover are verified once and then printed on every listing you hold, so guests stop asking. Charter agreements, guest lists and receipts are generated for each booking and kept somewhere your accountant can find them.
The guests
Search by marina and by date, the destination pages, the map and the journal all point at boats that are free. The people who arrive already know they want a hull in Malta on a fixed day. You are not buying clicks or answering the same six questions in a message thread at eleven at night.
What we need from you
Four things, and the last one matters most.
The bar is deliberately low and deliberately checked. A guest is about to send four figures to a boat belonging to somebody they have never met, and the only reason they go through with it is that we stood on the pontoon first.
A Transport Malta commercial licence
Commercial, not private. We check the number against the register before your boats go live and print it on every page they appear on.
Third-party insurance of at least €5m
The policy has to cover guests aboard. Send the certificate and the renewal date and we will chase you a fortnight before it lapses.
A berth we can visit
Somebody comes to the boat. Half an hour at the pontoon, a look at the jackets, the tender and the papers aboard, and photographs if yours are thin.
A calendar you keep current
This is the one that decides whether any of it works. A boat that shows free and is not free costs a guest their day and costs you the next four bookings.
How listing works
Three steps, and one of them is us driving to your berth.
Tell us about the boat
Ten minutes on a form. Model, year, berth, what it carries under way and at anchor, what a day costs and what is inside that price. Photographs if you have them.
We come and see it
Someone meets you at the berth, matches the licence and the insurance to the hull in front of them, and shoots the boat properly if the pictures are not doing the work.
You go live
Your pages publish, the calendar opens, and in season the first requests usually land the same week. Decline anything that does not suit you.
Listed, or on your own
Same boat, same season, two different amounts of admin.
Plenty of owners fill a calendar without a platform, and some fill it better than we would. These are the axes worth putting side by side before you decide.
| What you are comparing | With SailSeeker | On your own |
|---|---|---|
| Reach | Guests searching by marina, by date and by boat type, plus the destination pages, the map and the journal that feed them. | Your own followers, guests who came back, and whoever the marina office points in your direction. |
| Payment risk | Card authorised when you accept, funds held, released to you on the morning of departure whether or not the guest turns up. | Transfer, or cash at the pontoon. You decide how much to take up front and you carry the no-show. |
| Security deposits | None taken. One amount, the charter, and nothing to release or dispute after the boat is back. | You take it, you hold it, and you are the one having the conversation if there is damage to settle. |
| Insurance verification | Certificate checked once. Cover and renewal date shown on every listing, with a reminder before it lapses. | Yours to prove to each guest who asks, usually by email, usually the night before they sail. |
| Cancellation cover | One published policy. Free to 72 hours, your own terms inside that window, weather cancellations refunded or moved at the same price. | Whatever was agreed in the message thread, argued case by case. |
| Cost | 10% of confirmed bookings. No listing fee, no subscription, nothing owed in a month you do not sail. | No commission. Your own time, your own card processing and your own admin. |
Owner questions
What owners ask first.
What does it cost to list?
Nothing to list. We take 10% of each confirmed booking and handle the booking, the payments and the paperwork. No subscription, no listing fee.
What do I need to list?
A valid Transport Malta commercial licence, third-party insurance of at least €5m, and a berth we can visit. Listing takes about fifteen minutes.
When do I get paid?
The morning of departure, once the charter is confirmed to be going ahead.
Do I have to accept every request?
No. You can decline, and you set your own calendar, minimum durations and cancellation terms. You can also switch any boat to instant book if you would rather not field requests.
List your boat
Put the idle days to work.
Malta is the first market, not the last. Ibiza, Cannes and Amalfi open in 2027, and the operators who list here first are the ones we take with us. Send the boat, the licence number and the berth, and somebody will be at the pontoon inside a week.
